California Concierge LLC was founded in 1999 by Kaarel and Susan Hamersky. Susan had taught junior high school for seven years, during which time she founded a custom clothing company that she operated for over fifteen years. Kaarel had spent over twenty years in Internal Audit, Loss Prevention and other areas of banking.
Trying to juggle family, home and careers, the Hamerskys felt pulled: it seemed to them there was always something they had to be doing, and they never had time to do what they’d rather be doing. They worked hard all week and even harder on the weekends. They knew they weren’t alone in feeling like this. They began wondering, “What if you could pay someone to take care of routine things so you could do what you’d rather be doing?”
They soon realized that their strengths, talents, and personalities made them perfectly suited to be that someone for others who are struggling with the same pain of being so busy that they’re missing out on life and the things they love.

The Hamerskys, married since 1982, live in Woodland Hills, CA, and are blessed with three children: Stephanie, 20; Matthew, 17; and Daniel, 14. Two canine rescues, Chip and Corky, round out the crew. Their family enjoys spending a lot of time together.
In addition, Susan serves on the Board of Directors for the Woodland Hills-Tarzana Chamber of Commerce, and Kaarel, a Titanic enthusiast, presents a fascinating first-person account of the Titanic story to schools, libraries and other organizations. He is also the founder of Everest Enterprises, an escheat recovery service.
